9 and dine...10 and go

She's getting pretty ornery... she started crinkling her nose which is super cute.  She finally figured out how to sit up unsupported, started eating Puffs and Cheerios, and is now doing the army crawl.  She rocks on her knees, but hasn't figured out how to make them go.  She gets around pretty well scooting around on her tummy.  Savannah has a good fan club too!  Lots of "help" and lots of love.

The next up and coming boy band...

I guess they might need a guitar, instead of their toy guns...

Halloween Festivities

We had quite a bit going on last week to celebrate Halloween - preschool party, friends party, school parade, trunk or treat, trick or treating, family night fun, semi-festive Halloween breakfast, and playgroup at the pumpkin patch. Jared also had a pizza party that his class earned, so I made fruit cups for that celebration. Despite my best efforts to have a no-stress Halloween as far as costumes, I still ended up making a helmet for Nathan's costume. He found a Jango Fett costume at the thrift store (they all picked out something from there), but there was no face with it. He didn't complain about it until the day of Halloween. So I put together a rough rendition of the helmet with half of a huge plastic Easter egg, some cardboard, and wrapping paper. It wasn't a perfect replica, but it was good enough. As Nathan once said, "You're almost good at that." Weston had a few different costume choices - a pirate, fireman, and other superhero costumes we already had. He only wanted to wear a knight helmet to the preschool party, but mostly wanted to wear the worn out Spiderman costume (a well used item around here). We did talk him into wearing the fireman costume to one party.

I didn't make the cute banana ghosts and pumpkin oranges or the popcorn hands, but I made the rest of this food.
