4th of July

We started off the day with German pancakes and bacon.  I was debating whether to do German pancakes, French toast, or Belgian waffles to celebrate America's independence... or should we have gone with English muffins??   Ha ha.

We were pretty lazy most of the day (besides Alex, who canned peaches).  We had pizza for dinner and cupcakes for dessert. And of course, we watched the fireworks.  Owen was scared at the beginning, but by the end was talking about how cool it was.  We were close to the action, so it was loud.  But even Savannah   seemed fascinated.

And we took some pictures...

family portait via self-timer... not too bad.

Love all of the cute pics. Why was Savannah making that one "mad" face? So funny.

Thanks for puttin' a smile on my face. Loved the kids' singing. Was Owen singing about Weston peeing on a tree? That's what it sounded like anyways :) Oh and Weston, he has sure changed the most! He looks so grown up. I love how Nathan's comment made it on record, "this is the best day ever!"
