Owen played with the JV team for summer league basketball. He didn't get much playing time, but he worked hard and enjoyed it (despite having a coach that likes to yell a lot). The season started before last school year ended and then went through most of July. He did have a 2-week break in the middle, which was a bit odd but worked out for Owen's other summer activities. They played 13 games and won 8 of those. He scored 2 points in one game, a free throw in another game, and 7 points in the one game that I missed. He also played in half of the game that I didn't get to see. Go figure...
Owen does pretty well with defense - getting after the ball and rebounds. He's still working on shooting and ball handling, but he's pretty scrappy out there at least. He also is very coachable and has a good attitude.
