The funny thing is that I wasn't sure if he was ready for them or not, but Jared dumped out the whole box of Cheerios on the floor, and we keep finding them everywhere. Or I should say Owen keeps finding them everywhere. I watched him pick one up and eat it - he did fine. Bring on the cheerios!

Big O's eating O's

far better than the canned spaghetti i threw at rhoane the other day. lol.
this is a great milestone by the way, love the bit of independance it gives them (and the extra time it give mom too)!
i love that i can totally spell... and the comment i just left sounds so eloquent when read aloud ;p
I love cheerios time! I love it when I get a moment to catch my breath and the kiddies are occupied, not screaming! ;)
Hooray on your big-boy and time for yourself!!
how funny!!! Bailey has started to eat finger foods like that too...and you're right!!!
Wait, Owen feeds himself? I can count on one hand the number of times Kiera has fed herself anything (other than lint or carpet fuzz, that is.) I tried to give her cheerios yesterday and she promptly picked up each one and threw it to the floor. The only one she ate is the one I put in her mouth. *sigh*
I think by the 3rd kid, they learn quickly that if they want something, they have to do it themselves...
