Holidays

We did our best to celebrate the holidays like we normally do.  Made a festive green dinner for St. Patrick's Day.  We had found eggs by Easter, so we colored Easter eggs.  The kids got a lot of soda and junk food in their Easter (waterproof) bags.  They hunted for Easter eggs for about 3 hours in the back yard.  They kept hiding them over and over again and each wanted a turn to hide the eggs.  I couldn't believe how long they spent doing that.  We had a nice Easter breakfast - cinnamon rolls, eggs, and bacon.  We had a yummy dinner and pies for dessert.  Also made some sugar cookies with royal icing.  They didn't turn out very well this time.  The pink ones looked more like Easter pigs!  We took some of the best cookies and delivered them to friends.  I still made the kids take Easter pictures.  Weston insisted on wearing the black shirt and didn't like being forced to wear a tie...

Savannah looked really pretty in her blue dress.  She chose to wear GG's necklace.

Alex and the kids made Mother's Day special for me.  I slept in until 10:00am.  Owen made breakfast, Alex got me flowers and chocolate and made dinner and dessert (Twix cheesecake bars).  Savannah made a card.  Nathan and Jared gave talks for our home church.  We spent a lot of time looking at photos and reading about our adventures in England.  And the kids took a photo with me.
