roos up close and personal

We went to Sydney this weekend, to Featherdale Wildlife Park and the Sydney Aquarium. At the wildlife park, you can pet the kangaroos and koalas and various other animals that are safe to be wandering around.

Nathan kissing a kangaroo, like he said he was going to do before we came to Australia.

Jared was funny. He'd go right up next to the animals, squat down beside them and grunt at them. He had no fear... I was a little worried he might try to tackle one of the animals.

They had a farm area as well. Jared liked it possibly more than the other areas because he got to follow the sheep and ducks around. He really likes ducks.

1st meeting with kangaroo- Nathan was extra cautious. Jared was talking to them.

The aquarium was cool (and crowded). For the seals and sharks, you could walk underneath them. At one point, the fish were swimming underneath our feet.

This was the entrance. Nathan was scared to go in, but we eventually talked him into going in.

They could have stayed all day with their noses pressed against the glass...

They got to touch a starfish and a couple other creatures.
