Manchester

The first Saturday in February we headed to Manchester to the Lego Discovery Centre and Sealife Aquarium.  We didn't tell the kids where we were going - just let it be a surprise.  They were pretty excited when they realized what they were doing that day.  We didn't ruin Weston's weekend after all...

It wasn't very exciting for Nathan and Jared, but they were good sports.  They enjoyed the laser maze and the 3D movie.  We all enjoyed the aquarium.  Savannah eventually had fun too, but it took her a while to realize there were fun things for girls.  She had a sour face for a while, not finding any girl Legos or rides.  It was true that it seemed to be geared more towards boys, with superheroes, boy Legos, police cars, and rides that typically boys would be more attracted to.  She did find one Lego Friends sign and a few girl Legos.  And she eventually tried the play area and loved the balls.

When she tried out the police cars, she couldn't figure out how to steer properly and kept driving into the wall!
