the power is in the shoes

I know you're tired of hearing from me today, but Nathan said something funny when I picked him up from school. He's been playing basketball at recess with his friends and hasn't made a basket yet. He attributes that to his shoes. He wore a different pair of shoes today - his "fast shoes". While I guess they did make him fast, he announced that "These shoes don't work. I still didn't make a basket. Maybe my light shoes will work." Should I tell him about Air Jordans?? :) Papa, you might have to tell him what works for you...

I wear Converse shoes that are high tops because they help me not turn my ankles as much.

I really enjoyed your thoughts, thank you. I have to remember Kit is NOT like me, I am a service render-er and Kit wants time and physical touches. Thank you again for applying it to children-once I read that, I can totally see the differences in my children.

Love the shoe comment!! Sounds just like my boys...hmmm, Jos thinks his make him the most athletic of all! :)

How funny!! Kids say the best things! My boys are the same. They attribute (especially when they get a new pair of shoes) how fast they can run and jump because of them. My dad tells me when he was young he thought the same thing. Funny boys...it must be in the DNA. :)

funny, made me think of being in middle school and how I'd somehow become one of cool, popular people if I wore the right Nike windbreaker and rolled my jeans just right. At least life is that simple for young folks!
