We headed to Utah for spring break - we hadn't seen Bryce Canyon before and had only seen just a little bit of Zion National Park. We stopped at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada on the way. The kids loved climbing all the rocks.
We spent one full day in Zion National Park. We did a pretty tiring hike - 4 miles with lots of elevation change. The kids were all worn out by the time we got done.
We rented a house for the week - it was perfect! It was close to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. And although it was pretty chilly most of the week, there was also a big back yard with a basketball court.
Bryce Canyon was beautiful! It was early in the season, so there was still snow on some of the rocks. There were hardly any people on our first day of hiking, so it was quite peaceful (at least until our kids got there). There were more people on our next day of hiking, but it wasn't too crowded. Loved the scenery!
Their favorite part of the trip was playing in the snow!
A glimpse at the car ride...
We had a windy ride through Las Vegas on the way home, driving through a dust storm - we saw a couple of semi trucks that had tipped over on the other side of the freeway. It was nerve-wracking to see the trucks swaying in front of us.
