A cool thing at the Prairiefire Museum is a giant screen where you can see yourself and have dinosaurs walk across the screen as well.
Weston loves praying mantises, so he was excited to construct one at the museum. The kids also liked holding the hissing cockroach. 😜
Science City at Union Station was a fun outing as well, with the bike ride as a highlight, along with the outside play area and an interactive weather sand table (Alex's favorite!). You could make mountains and valleys and move the sand around and watch the "precipitation" and such. He wants one for his office.
After KS, we headed to OK and spent a little time with Alex's parents. The boys always enjoy the shooting range. In the last picture, they were being silly, but I assure you the guns weren't even loaded at that point. They are always very cautious and safe about the guns. Papa John does a good job explaining safety. (Just in case anyone stumbles upon this blog that doesn't know what's going on...)
Mowing the yard is fun too when you get to ride around! OK has all kinds of cool bugs.
Kai meeting up with the white dog again - they were buddies this past year.
Savannah loves learning from Grandma.
And time to say good-bye to Kai... she stayed with Papa John and Grandma while we were in England. The kids gave Kai lots of hugs before we left.
It was hard to say good-bye to family as well. This turned out to be the last time we saw Jim. 😢
Glad we did get to see him for a little bit and that we have this photo with him.
We got to spend an evening with my good friend and college roommate Jerushia and her family. We went to college with Dan as well, and Alex and Dan were in the same mission in UT. Dan & Jerushia are awesome and we loved catching up with them. Their gingers would fit well in our family!
Next and final stop before England was TX - we had a short visit with my family and left our suburban with them for the year. We got to see Mike's and Audrey's families while we were there too. Loved pool time! My mom also had pre-birthday cake for us.
More good-byes... we said good-bye to GG and took photos. Again, we didn't realize this would be the last time to see GG. Grateful for this time with her!
