One of our favorite things about England was all of the cute villages. On June 16th, on a Saturday afternoon, Alex and I took an outing to a couple of seaside villages in North Yorkshire. We enjoyed some ice cream in Staithes and walked around the small harbor. Then we headed to Whitby, where we had German Bratwurst and fish & chips. We also got rained on as we made our way up and down the hill to Whitby Abbey. It was the one time where I was prepared with umbrella and rain jacket... I had brought them along, but left them in the car when we got to Whitby...
We had hoped to go back again with the kids, but we never got the chance.
