Chili recipe

1 lb. ground beef
1 tube sausage (I use mild)
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 cans chili-ready tomatoes
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1-2 cans beans (I use black beans, rinsed)
2 TBSP chili powder
1 or 1.5 tsp cayenne pepper (however spicy you want it)
1.5 tsp salt
pepper
1 tsp dried oregano

(may add corn or mushrooms, etc.)

Brown beef and sausage; drain fat. Mix meat with remaining ingredients in large crock pot or large pot. Simmer on low until peppers and onion are tender. If you're pressed for time (like I usually am), you can saute the pepper and onion with the meat and then heat everything together.

This is not a fancy recipe - it just uses a lot of canned items, but I think the sausage and pepper are what make it really tasty. And at least it's really easy!
